Dr. K. V. Kupusamy, Founder & Chairman of Rathinavel Subramaniam Educational Trust established RVS Agriculture College in 2014 with the main aim of imparting agricultural education to rural youth. RVSAC is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore and offers 4 years B.Sc., Agri (Hons) degree which is a pioneer institute in RVS group agriculture education. RVSAC has an area of 354.56 acres green environment and a serene atmosphere for the practical training of the students in an effective way. This well-established area includes Academic Buildings, Playground, Hostel, Dairy, Sheep and Goat, Piggery, Poultry Units, Orchard, Horticultural Crops, Agro Forestry, Wetlands, Garden Lands and equipped with required number of laboratories. For the knowledge enrichment of the students, college has well experienced and qualified teaching faculties.

College is located at Thanjavur District, Usilampatti Village, 4 Kms from Trichy – Thanjavur National Highway (Near Sengipatti). Thanjavur is known as the "Rice bowl of Tamil Nadu”, located in the Cauvery Delta region, which serves as the best natural source of water to promote agriculture. Agriculture in India contributes 16-17% of GDP and 70% population rely on agricultural and its allied activities. The development of agriculture has much to do with the economic welfare of our country and imparting agricultural education to youth can make significant change in this.

The Government is trying to help the farmers in bringing new initiatives to help farmers making agriculture sustainable. ‘RVS Agriculture College’ is one such accomplishment in the arena of sustainable agriculture rendering service to nature and mankind.
