Horticulture department deals with Horticulture, food science and nutrition which imparts knowledge on the technology involved in production of fruits, vegetables, flowers, spices, medicinal, aromatic plants, landscaping, processing and preservation of fruits and vegetable, food safety and human nutrition . The college campus surrounded by orchard which have well-maintained fields of horticultural crops like Tall coconut, dwarf coconut, Mango, Sapota, West Indian cherry, Amla, Jack fruit, Guava, Citrus, Jamun, Cashew, Tamarind and Vetiver. Well established Nursery farm for demonstrating and developing vegetative structure of horticultural crops is available with Green shaded net house and Mist Chamber and model crops of all categories of horticultural plants including major fruits, vegetables, medicinal and ornamental plant species for student`s education programme.
