Crop Management department was established for undertaking field component sciences consisting of Agronomy, Soil Science, Crop Physiology and microbiology. This department facilitates fundamental, advanced technologies and practical aspects of field and crops. RVSAC’s holding total land area is 355 acres with various field and horticultural crops. Under DCM manages nearly 50 acres. 1 acre of crop cafeteria is maintained. We train advanced agro techniques to the students and all the production operations. In crop production course students do all these techniques on their own. We also have IMD Standards class “A” observatory and to expose the students to observe the weather and climatic variables on crop production as well as crop weather forecasting. In soil science and crop physiology unit is to educate the crop and soil importance and their inter and intra relationships in the Agro-ecosystem. Simultaneously we equip analytical and laboratory skills to the students during these courses. Undertaking study tour and going to expose the students various state and national institutes during their mandatory course. In specific we made practical outdoor visits on their ongoing courses.
